Dus Mahavidya Sadhna/Dus Mahavidya Siddhi (दस महाविधा साधना): The guardian of the universe Lord Vishnu’s internal power is called Mahamaya. This goddess is visibly or invisibly is the root of evolution of the universe. The evolution of Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva occurred according to it. For the smooth operation Mahamaya empowered of the universe Lord Vishnu became guardian, Lord Brahma became the creator and Shiva became the destroyer. (Dus Mahavidya Siddhi)
In this way all the three gods became the symbol of entity, sage and darkness qualities. According to these three gods, there were three goddesses, Mahakali, Mahalaxmi and Mahasaraswati. All the three were deputed with their work. Among them Mahalaxmi has the saatvik power of Lord Vishnu, Mahasaraswati has the regal power of Lord Brahma and Mahakali has the power of darkness of Lord Shiva. (Dus Mahavidya Sadhna)
During the period of evolution Lord Shiva explored the genesis of cracy (Tantra) along with the power of his better half Parvati, who actually was Mahakali with the power of darkness and take the fierce look and appearance. But her fierce appearance is meant only for the wrong things and people and Asuras. Otherwise this goddess is benign, benign-vehement and vehement in three forms, and according to the nature it is divided in two parts, Sree Kul and Kali Kul. (Dus Mahavidya Siddhi)
This goddess according to work and qualities appeared in many reincarnations. It is not that she always appeared in fierce form. When she appeared in benign form, she was cool and soft. In benign-vehement form she is in both type of nature and in vehement form she is terrible in nature. In this way she appears in ten forms called Yogini, Dakini etc. and all they have different nature and qualities. (Dus Mahavidya Siddhi)
The goddesses of Kali Kul are fierce in appearance and having vehement nature. They are much concerned with black and other dark colour where as the goddesses of Shree Kul are benign and cool in nature.
In Kali Kul Mahakali, Tara, Bagalamukhi, Dhumawati, Chhinnamasta goddesses are there and in Shree Kul Bhubaneswari, Tripursundari, Kamala, Tripur Bhairavi and Maatangi are there. All Dus Mahavidya are capable of fulfil the desire of devotees.
Each form of the Divine Mother Kali is a Mahavidya. The Dus Mahavidya are:
Mahakali (Sanskrit: महाकाली), Bagalamukhi (Sanskrit: बगलामुखी), Chhinnamasta (Sanskrit: छिन्नमस्ता), Bhubaneswari (Sanskrit: भुवनेश्वरी), Maatangi (Sanskrit: मातंगी), Sodhashi (Sanskrit: षोडशी), Dhumawati (Sanskrit: धूमावती), Tripur-Bhairavi (Sanskrit:त्रिपुर भैरवी), Tara (Sanskrit: तारा), Kamala, (Sanskrit: कमला).
“काली तारा महाविद्या षोडशी भुवनेश्वरी। भैरवी छिन्नमस्ता च विद्या धूमावती तथा। बगला सिद्धविद्या च मातंगी कमलात्मिका।
एता दश महाविद्या: सिद्धविद्या: प्राकृर्तिता। एषा विद्या प्रकथिता सर्वतन्त्रेषु गोपिता।।
“Kali Tara Mahavidya Sodhashi Bhubaneswari। Bhairavi Chhinnamasta Ch Vidya Dhumawati tatha । Bagala Siddha vidya Ch Maatangi Kamalatmika। Eta Dus Mahavidya Siddha Vidya prakartita। Esha Vidya Prakathita Sarvtantreshu Gopita।।
Dus Mahavidya (10 महाविधायें): First of all Sati took the form of Kali (10 महाविधायें). Her form was fearful, her hair untied and loose, her body the colour of a dark cloud. She had deep set eyes and eyebrows shaped like curved swords. She stood on a corpse, wore a garland of skulls, and earrings made from the bones of corpses. She had four hands – on one hand she had the head of a skull, and the other a curved sword with blood dripping on it. She had mudras on her other two hands – one giving freedom from fear and the other giving blessings. 10 महाविधायें
She roared and the ten directions were filled with that ferocious sound. The exploits of this Goddess Kali (10 महाविधायें) are outlined in the Chandi Path. She is the Goddess that killed Chanda and Munda and also drank the blood of Raktabija. She is known as Kaushiki (10 महाविधायें), She who came from within, and is the Slayer of Shumbha and Nishumbha. 10 महाविधायें She is beyond time. She takes away the darkness and fills us with the light of Wisdom, which is why she is the embodiment of Jnana Shakti 10 महाविधायें. She resides in the cremation grounds, where all creation dissolves. Goddess Ma Kali (10 महाविधायें) maintains the principal position among all the ten significant Dus Mahavidya’s (10 महाविधायें). Kali means “the black one”. Due to her complexion and appearance in black she is known as Ma Kali. The name Kali comes from kala, which means black, time, death or lord of death. In tantric Sadhna of Dus Mahavidya (10 महाविधायें) Sadhak consider Mahakali to be more influential and powerful giving immediate results. The aspirant Sadhak, having perfected this Sadhna get all Ashtsidhis. This Dus Mahavidya (10 महाविधायें) Sadhna evokes innumerable advantages which are realised instantly after the accomplishment of the Sadhna. (10 महाविधायें)
During the holocaust, Mahakali (10 महाविधायें) herself is capable of swallowing the god of death Mahakal. In appearance has a fierce look and made the garland of the chopped heads of Asura as beads. Her set of teeth is wacky, the tongue which was coming out from the mouth are pressed by the teeth and standing on the chest of her husband in a complete nude position. She is also holding the chopped heads of the Asuras by hand. She is having 4 arms and by two of them she is holding the Bilbo. And in other hand she is holding the chopped head by hair and blood is flowing profusely from the chopped heads. And by other hand she showing dauntlessness and showering the blessings (10 महाविधायें). Her scattered long hair is looking ferocious like a big black storm (10 महाविधायें). She is equipped with three eyes and a small dead boy is hanging from her ears as ear rings. Her abode is in burning place of corpse and she adopted this appearance to kill Rakt Beej. 10 महाविधायें
Kali Sadhana (10 महाविधायें) is done to conquer over enemies. Kali Sadhana (10 महाविधायें) helps to defeat and make enemies powerless. Kali Sadhana (10 महाविधायें) is also performed to destroy diseases, to get rid of wicked spirits, wicked planets, fear of sudden death and to gain poetic skills.
